Greek banks borrowed about 40 bln eur from ECB-cenbanker

ATHENS, Nov 24 (Reuters) - Greek banks have borrowed about 40 billion euros ($59.63 billion) so far this year from the European Central Bank, Greece's central banker said on Tuesday.
"The amount that Greek banks have raised so far (from the ECB) is about 40 billion euros," George Provopoulos told a parliamentary committee briefing.
