TAIPEI, Nov 25 (Reuters) - Here are news stories and press reports that may affect the Taiwan stock market on Wednesday. Weaker-than-expected GDP data out of the United States could dampen sentiment in the Taiwan stock market, hitting export-reliant shares such as TSMC and Acer.

LOCAL PRESS REPORTS -- China's Geely Auto and Chery Auto will set up a production facility in Taiwan, manufacturing cars for export to the Chinese east coast and Southeast Asia, the Economic Daily reported. -- Compal now expects shipments in the fourth quarter to climb 20 percent from the preceding three months, better than the 10 percent it previously forecast, the Economic Daily reported, citing company president Ray Chen. -- Plans to buy $4.4 billion worth of LCD panels from Taiwanese manufacturers will be extended to next year as the current supply is insufficient to meet demand, the Commercial Times reported, citing the secretary-general of the China Video Industry Association. ----------------------MARKET SNAPSHOT @ 0002 GMT ------------ INSTRUMENT LAST PCT CHG NET CHG
