The transportation ministry will soon issue guidelines on
planning, building and operating airports, to set management
standards, now that private firms and local administrations can
run them as well as state-owned enterprises, the ministry's

INDONESIA'S MAIN INDEX LOST 0.4 PERCENT AS COAL
miner Bumi Resources dropped 4.6 percent after it
announced another bond issue to finance acquisitions. Adaro
Energy, the country's biggest coal miner, dropped 2.3
percent, while Lippo Karawaci lost 3.6 percent.
U.S. STOCKS FELL ON TUESDAY ON LACKLUSTER ECONOMIC DATA IN
a session marked by low volume and choppy trading, but losses
eased after the Federal Reserve raised its expectations for
growth in 2010.
OIL PRICES FELL 2 PERCENT ON TUESDAY AFTER DATA SHOWED THE
U.S. economy grew at a slower-than-expected pace last quarter and
ahead of weekly U.S. inventory data expected to show crude stocks
rose.

MALAYSIAN CRUDE PALM OIL FUTURES ENDED 0.3 PERCENT LOWER ON
Tuesday, easing from a 14-week high hit the previous day, on
weaker commodity markets.
IN INDONESIA, THE STATE MARKETING CENTRE, BASED IN JAKARTA,
sold 6,000 tonnes of crude palm oil at the highest price of 7,200
rupiah per kg on Tuesday, against 7,260 rupiah per kg on Monday.

The Philippine peso fell on both spot and offshore forward
markets on Tuesday following an overnight rebound in the dollar
against the major currencies, sparking a bout of short dollar
covering.
Southeast Asian stock markets ended mixed on Tuesday, with
Singapore reversing early gains to 15-month highs after broad
selling in banks and property while Thai stocks fell to
three-week lows amid political concerns.
