Australian opposition backs leader over carbon deal
Article layout: raw

CANBERRA, Nov 25 (Reuters) - Australia's opposition voted on Wednesday to keep its leader, Malcolm Turnbull, backing his decision to support the government's revised carbon-trade laws.
The main opposition Liberal Party voted 48 to 35 to keep Turnbull as leader. Climate-change sceptics in the party had sought to challenge his leadership in an effort to scupper the government's plan to cut carbon emissions.
