Re: Final Results

maybe 28p is a little optimistic, but you never know, this share surprised me 18 months ago by just going up & up, from 12p to 25p, if I remenber rightly, before dropping gradually back to around 20p. I think 25/26p is certainly achievable, there can't be many other shares currently giving a near 10% yearly dividend yield, you'd think people would wise-up sooner or later.
Re: Final Results

yes, pretty solid, especially in the context of the retail sector performance as a whole last year, which was generally poor or even abysmal. All in all, pretty amazing really, & good prospects for this coming year, judging by the 1st two months' figures. I took a chance & went 'all in' on this share, so am obviously quite pleased. By million_dollar_mother

Last year results were announced on 31st March. I think they'll be relatively good but I'm not sure there'll be scope to increase the final divi considering they've already paid a 1p interim - still, won't complain if they do. By million_dollar_mother

Boiler Room outfit ringing you rookie david!!!!Put the phone down on them or you will suffer financial loss if you deal in any way with the outfit. You have been warned,

Laura Ashley is bid proof the management and associates own most of the shares,no outsider can takeover the company without their say so and in any case takeovers don't happen in this way.Companies making takeovers almost never buy shares in the company they are thinking of bidding for before making an offer this is due to takeover rules which would limit their action if they did.
Re: New CEO

I dont think a lot will change, the dividend policy isnt a policy really, that is part of the issue, it just depends what the controlling family need to take as a payout. If there were guidance that dividends would be maintained at this level and increased each year by a percentage higher thaninfaltion depending on results, the shares would be trading a lot higher.
