Any updates ?

All,

here's a brief email conversation I had about teh 'lack' of news for the company:-

Hello - I'm a private investor with a small stake, via a nominee, in COMS Plc. Since Justin Drummond's resignation as non-executive Director, there has been no news for investors. Can you tell me what calendar you have for reporting during 2012, particularly trading updates ?

Quite promptly I go this reply from Richard Bennet, CEO:-

We are currently in a close period, pending issuing our results, so there is not that much I am currently allowed to tell you. I am anticipating they will be released at the end of May.

Personally, the most significant recent RNSs from the company is the cornerstone funding from MXC and the appointment of Paul Cook. We are actively looking for transactions, but that takes time to complete.

I look forward to updating you soon.

Thoughts from the BB ? Does the lack of news explain the slow decline in SP ? By DoughtM1966

Re: New backer has great track record

Excellent coverage in the The Times, Saturday, 31 December:-

"With market-makers largely still leery of running books, it takes only modest buying or selling to produce giddy share-price gyrations.
Take Coms, for example, which surged 43.8 percent to 0.58p after placing 100 million new shares with investors at 0.3p a pop. Among them, was MXC Capital, which took 43 million of those on offer to hold a 23.3 percent stake in the AIM specialist in the development and commercialisation of whizzy internet telephony.
MXC, a consultancy and investment vehicle, was co-founded in 2009 by Ian Smith, the man credited with transforming the fortunes of Redstone, a networking company, and the IT security privider Accumuli. Those who know the industry well expect Mr Smith to present ideas to Coms that may well include acquisitions."

Friday's placement RNS, where shares cannot be traded, even if they wish to, until 10 January. A real window of opportunity for the pi next week:-

<a href='http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=201112301041087984U' target='window'>http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=201112301041087984U</a>

I am looking for another big move when the markets open on Tuesday.

Re: Interesting movement!!!

Ha ha brilliant!!!!

Doubled the amount of shares in issue and some. Then halved the share price and some.

Looks like the city boys did know what was coming and tried to offload as many as they could.

Shocking tactics and some poor peeps have been mugged big time especially the .85 buyer.

Would of been nice for a quick 100% if bought in yesterday and sold today before that shocking RNS.

Well done on your placing shout Dicko mate.

Not so well done on not buying yesterday.

I'm all in RMP so stuck.
