FOGL may or may not be a possibility for a rig slot, and G1 may have some info. But for G1 to try and make the info work a second time by suggesting it adds to his credibility is just another piece of manipulation.

The episode only diminishes his credibility. Remarkable how G1 can make possibly good information dangerous.

As Des itself is becoming less of a plaything for the myth merchants, they try to lead the circus on to something else.

It all needs to be said!

Sorry if this has already been sorted out, but the pod lines are to control the BOP stacks. Extended length will be to facillitate possible reterms to the subsea end in the event of damage.

The 2500ft won't necessarily mean drilling in deeper water it probably just means that the old lines had to be replaced due to them no longer being in spec /not being long enough /not having enough excess left. You don't fit new pod lines with just enough depth to "get by" on ... especially if you're going to the back end of no-where.
