Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) will host special guest Dialight (Newmarket, Suffolk, England) as part of this week's "Industry Today" webcast. Dialight (LSE:DIA) is leading the energy-efficient LED lighting revolution around the world for industrial and hazardous areas, as well as transportation and infrastructure applications. For 40 years it has been committed to the development of LED lighting solutions that enable organizations to vastly reduce energy use and maintenance needs, improve safety, ease disposal and reduce CO2 emissions.

The technology surrounding LED lighting solutions has advanced greatly in recent years, enabling plant owners access to solutions that last three or four times longer than conventional lighting, with instant on/off capabilities, dimming options and sensors to help maximize work spaces that are not occupied. The number of applications that can benefit from LED lighting includes any environment that requires 24/7 lighting, process units that require being taken offline to change lighting, hazardous locations exposed to potentially dangerous gases, high vibration exposure and expensive maintenance. Each of these applications plus many more can benefit from LED lighting, resulting in longer fixture life, reduced energy costs and a better quality of light.

Operating with offices around the world including the United States, Mexico, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, Germany and others, the lighting experts of Dialight customize solutions driven around proven technology and applications that offer green solutions that save money and increase safety.

Dialight's high-specification range of products is uniquely positioned for a number of long-term global growth trends, many of which are driven by government regulations and environmental initiatives. These include the current global infrastructure build-out, and the need for improvements to the efficiency, reliability and productivity of the electrical grid.

Join Roy Burton, the CEO of Dialight, along with the host of "Industry Today" to learn more about the company's high-specification range of products that are uniquely positioned for a number of long-term global growth trends, many of which are driven by government regulations and environmental initiatives.
No stopping!

With this kind of ROI there is no stopping DIA displacing old tech.

"As a result of the substantial energy reduction, the Dialight retrofit qualified Fox31 for more than $10,000 in energy efficiency rebates—equaling just over $70.00 per fixture—through Xcel Energy and the City of Denver that helped to significantly offset the cost of the project. Between the rebate, the dramatic energy savings and the money saved by eliminating maintenance, Fox31 expects a payback period of just over 3 years—a very healthy return on investment for products that will last nearly four times as long."

Re: Clearly Driving Ahead

I believe that small companies become quoted with the purpose of raising capital and acquisition using paper. DIA have done an exceptional job of organic growth and development and will now have to show the "city" that it can do the acquisitions and develop the breadth of play.

PSL are a long way behind DIA's development but does have some very smart technical management and the products. it would appear, seem to be best in class supported/protected (if they can afford to do so) by IP. They were smart in acquiring a sales and marketing operation before coming to market and have purchased a manufacturing facility post float - all ticks in my book as it buys in a complete working operation rather than building one. Big question here is - has/can the sales and marketing team brought/bring in the orders for the new manufacturing equipment being installed currently?

If the answer is yes then anyone looking at PSL to acquire cheaply should do so now as if PSL has got it right then, as DIA has shown, the margins are there and they quickly flow through to profit and cash - and hopefully share price. My money is on it!

I will be watching to see what DIA do next - but hope they carry on nurturing what is there - it is working, no doubt in that, but continued meteoric growth becomes harder to do the same way as the business becomes ever larger. So my question here is, can they develop or acquire other markets as well as they have to date and will the management stay in with their shares for the ride? By Ash666

Re: Clearly Driving Ahead

Certainly smaller companies can response - or rather DO respond - generally much quicker than the large multi-nationals to changes in the market, and thus you will often find them on the cutting edge of technology changes in the real world as opposed to the lab as they take the technology and run with it, ducking and diving and ferreting out those little niche markets driven by early adopters, and then gradually building those diverse markets into something saner and more traditional, just in time to be eaten up by one of the big boys (hopefully). I've taken a look at PSL too, and they're certainly interesting, but i'm not 100% convinced that they aren't one of the smaller players who fall by the wayside. Its always a fine line between success and failure at this stage of the game. I was wondering more in terms of somebody like DIA taking over PSL possibly in an all-share deal. Any thoughts? A deal would be good while PSL sp is bombed out, and an all share deal would make sense given the rather high rating DIA shares are on at the moment. (20+ p/e ?) Not entirely sure whether the synergies are quite there though. By Robble-Bobble-Doo

Re: Clearly Driving Ahead

Even with these high growth figures there is still an enourmous market out there to be taken from the big boys, Philips et al, so I can easily see the likes of Dialight and even possibly new boy Photonstar LED taking off (even more so) or taken out - smiles all round. The likes of Dialight and Photonstar are more often far more innovative than their large rivals who wait to see what is working and then make their move - IP being everything.
DrS,
given general conditions I am happy sticking with dble digit sales + profit increases, can't expect quite same of margins each year. I'm sure even you are happy with your capital appreciation and some reasonable divvies thrown in, which if reinvested twice a year should make for a pretty fine investment, in my view anyway.
