Re: nice statement

hi catsick

at 30p agree that RNS reads very well and hard to beleive those organic growth numbers.
they have huge debt to deal with
but that is geared returned for us shareholders if they are successful
and that looks like the current path
so a couple of impressive yeas and suddenly the debt will be at respectible levels
and the EPS will get closer to a market rating.

so agree with you that it is alsmot like growth stock on a very cheap p/e
(once they get debt down to more manageable levels)

also love the chart pattern so downside seems to be limited
even allowing for the high debt i;m aiming for a fair value of 36p
but could easily see 60p in a couple of years
so hear's hoping!

All IMHO, DYOR + BoL
FIF is in my portfolio

they seem to have done a reverse tesco, very high growth in sales in a tough market , so this is a ridculously cheap growth stock !!
prepare

In my view I can forsee a big rise for FIF - maybe from a takeover bid. The facts are pointing that may ie

- Directors have loaded up with options

- The FD has lashed out £100k on shares - not normal for a cautious accountant

- The company has demonstrated admiral performance with sales growth/ cash generation / new product
excitement / debt reduction

- There have been some large (odd) share transactions which suggests positioning of ownership in anticipation of a bid.

just my thoughts - any views would be welcome By rickylfc5

Growth Investor-Ben Jaglom

Finsbury Food Group
http://www.growthcompany.co.uk/recommendations/1657643/finsbury-food-group.thtml

Luxury bread maker Finsbury Food Group (FIF) has reported a 12% growth in sales as health-conscious consumers flocked to its 'free-from' range.

The AIM-quoted group declared pre-tax profits of £5.8m (2010: £5.4m) on turnover of £189.6m for the year to July. Its cake division registered a 14.2% increase in sales to £139.6m while its bread and 'free from' operations saw turnover grow to £50m (2010: £43.7m.) Net debt fell from £36.5m to £32.7m.

Chief executive John Duffy remarks the last financial year saw Finsbury 'getting the entire group back into growth after a difficult year'. He points out that commodity inflation had made life 'quite tricky' for Finsbury.

Citing the strong performance of Finsbury's 'free-from' range, which includes breads that are for example wheat- or gluten-free, Duffy notes that it is driven by a 'lifestyle' market which purchases the breads 'out of choice as opposed to medical necessity'. He describes this as a 'growing' market.

Looking forward, Duffy argues that as a company focused on the premium end of the market, Finsbury had been 'hit in the past' by supermarkets moving towards the value sector. 'Yet our research has shown consumers do not want cheap cake. What they want is good cake at a fair price.'

Analysts at house broker Panmure Gordon lowered their earnings forecast from 8.3p to 7.7p a share for the year to July 2012 following the results.

Operating in a challenging environment, Finsbury has done well in growing sales and profits amid the difficulties the British consumer is experiencing, also paring down its debt at a respectable rate. Furthermore the group's 'free from' range look as if could generate further growth. Trading at just over 3x 2012 earnings we rate shares in Finsbury as a hold.

Re: Divs

probably not an unreasonable assumption , they have core long term debt of 20 million and another 12mio in credit against short term recievables , in 2 years they can clear half the long term debt and then there should be no pressure on them from the banks , or they could clear all the long term debt in 4 years and start paying a 7p divi (-: which would be a nice 25% By catsick

Just info.....

Panmure Gordon 19/9/11 forecast a 1.5p div for 2013.

That prospect and a modestly progressive div thereafter make FIF v. attractive at the present sp.

decent results

looking good , decent growth , no nasty surprises, paying down debt well , finances in place with hsbc for 5 years , very decent cash generation used to pay debt down and settle prior aquisition coasts so 5 million quid + paid down , puts the company on a very undemanding pe of 3 and change , they are also paying quite a lot for their finance charges so as the debt is paid down there will be another nice profit kicker from reducing finance costs ... looks like they are set up well to operate in this weak economy now as they focus on value offerings as well as growth markets of gluten free etc ...
