Re: Stock being shorted?

Yes, with the almost halving of the share price, the valuation does seem to be pricing in a worst case scenario in which Nature's Gibraltar Licence is not renewed, it does not receive any money for the insurance claim and also has to reimburse the costs of the clean-up. Even without the licence, perhaps Nature would be able to subcontract the services it is contracted to provide in this port. Do you, or anyone else have an idea of how much of Nature's revenues and profits derive from the Gibraltar based operations? By pharmaspecialist

Stock being shorted?

Looks like this stock has been shorted. Very interesting that the Board issued an RNS this afternoon stating they know of no reason for the price movement today. Looks like a bargain at present, as the ongoing farrago in Gibraltor seems to be fully priced in. By Marky_Mark007

The Investors Chronicle

• Tips of the Week: Buy Roche at SFr137; a buying opportunity at current levels in a solid pharmaceuticals group
offering a growing dividend from a diversified business model. • Buy Nature Group at 73p; trading at a good entry level
in what should continue to be a long-term growth story. • Buy Hydro International at 140p; a solid growth play with a
record order book and international expansion focus. • Sell Braemar Shipping Services at 310p; the shares are
vulnerable to more bad news on the global economy. • Updates: Keep buying Jardine Lloyd Thompson, tipped on 25
March 2011 at 661p and now 666p. • Keep buying Faroe Petroleum, tipped on 9 January 2009 at 50p and now 152p. •
Keep selling Ocado, recommended as a sell on 30 July 2010 at 168p and now 113p. • Tip Bits: Keep buying William Hill,
228p, Rolls-Royce, 620p, Rio Tinto, £35.46, Goldplat, 12p, and Dairy Crest, 338p. • News Tips: Buy Aurelian Oil & Gas,
18p, where the sell-off in the stock looks overdone. • Numis has started coverage of relisted APR Energy with a buy
recommendation and £14.80 target. • Keep buying JD Sports as it continues to acquire brands and overseas sports
retailers. • Specialist Energy Group looks fairly priced at 53.5p as delayed contracts could prove a drag on the shares in
the second half. • M&C Saatchi seems oversold as it offers good value at 126p. • Buy Polo Resources, 4p, as it
continues to offer shareholder value. • Comment Tips: Simon Thompson updates his 2011 bargain share portfolio,
suggesting that the following stocks remain buys: Ambrian Capital, Terrace Hill, Polo Resources, Noble Investments,
Victoria, and PV Crystalox Solar. • Funds Tip: Buy F&C US Smaller Companies Investment Trust, 383p, for long-term
growth. • Broker By SpikeyDT

Deal of the day: A big contract with one of the oil majors working off the cost of Brazil spurred Nature Group 16.8% to 59p. The AIM Company will treat oil waste on board a floating production, storage and off-loading vessel. Nature promised that it would deliver “substantial” savings to the oil company, compared with onshore waste treatment. By SpikeyDT

Further Update

Nature Group PLC
Update on progress at the Gibraltar Port Facility

Nature Group announces an update on developments at the Gibraltar Port Facility following the industrial accident of 31 May 2011. The past three weeks have been highlighted by extensive cleaning operations at the site and at the sea front of the facility.

An independent investigation is being conducted by the Gibraltar Government and is expected to take about one week. All indications are that the plant is expected to be handed back to Nature at the conclusion of the investigation.

Nature is also conducting its own investigation and, together with its insurers, expect to have a full report on damage and cause within the next few weeks.

In the past weeks NPRF, Nature group subsidiary, together with local staff have cooperated fully with the Gibraltar Government in order to mitigate the impact of the incident.

Nature are extremely keen to meet Gibraltar’s Chief Minister, The Honourable Peter Caruana, as soon as possible to discuss safety and rebuilding issues in conjunction with the previously approved extension of the plant.

The adjacent cruise terminal and consequent risk assessment in relation to this will be highlighted as well. At this moment, Nature has continued limited collecting operations and is confident the financial impact of the incident will be limited to higher logistical costs, as future cargo operations will be temporarily diverted to other locations.

Gibraltar, with almost 100.000 vessel passages through The Strait annually is one of the most important shipping lanes in the world and Nature's treatment facility fulfils a key role in the obligatory legislation for ships’ waste in the area.

A further update is planned after insurers and independent survey reports are completed, hopefully before our AGM on July 14th, 2011.
