Re: Is something afoot ?

Further to my assertion that TW is talking nonsense about Cygnus is the following:-

NOP are still awaiting permission to carry out a 3D. The licence, awarded in 2007!!, required a commitment to drill by April this year, but that has been extended owing to NOP not receiving approval to carry out a 3D. They're now awaiting a second extension, for the same reason. So just where TW gets his confidence from is beyond me.

Talk about leaving things to the last minute. Wouldn't surprise me if we lost the licence altogether, and ENI picked it up.

Still, never mind, Muzzer's still getting paid while reading fairy tales about riches to be had exploring in Alberta. Pass the biscuits. By Lupo di mare

Re: Is something afoot ?

TW talking out of his ar se as usual. He even, allegedly scribbled, referring to the Adriatic, "How clear is that? Expect a farm in deal and drilling within 18 months will be targeting 800 million barrels of oil. Surely that is worth something?"

Hang on a mo, they're still awaiting permission to carry-out a 3D, and have been since dinosaurs walked the earth - talking of which. But if ENI reckon NOP has got the better bit of that prospect, permission might come along smartly.

Trouble is that Muzzer's talked so much cr ap over the years that you just don't know what to believe. The only thing I believe is that Damille's lit a fire under his ar se. Burn baby burn!

Re: Is something afoot ?

I can only assume that the rise and activity is due to the recent statement that NOP are at the "Letter of Intent stage with one of the parties", as I said in my last post. That would be a step forward from the statement of 19th March when they said that they had "two non-binding indicative offers for the UK holding company of the Netherlands subsidiary and one such offer includes the UK assets"

At least, it would be a step forward if we could believe what they say.

The other positive is that they are being more active lately, despite what they say about last year being "an active year of exploration drilling, production enhancement and production testing operations". I missed the "production enhancement", personally, and if "active exploration drilling" means one failed onshore well in Italy, then I also misunderstand that term too. Of course, what they are referring to is the wells that others are drilling for them offshore Guyane. I could just as easily say that I've had an active year drilling n stuff.
so agree with yiu, mr nieve.......and of course, what makes it worse in this particular company, the directors are scared silly of muzzles, really scared of him! So rather than contest, do as they are told or out. Muzzles would waste time and money in the field, and how you may ask?....he will instruct through his directors to ensure there are two (or more) contractors checking each others work and so this will take twice as long as it should have (undermining is his way through it all). heyho what we learn in this world....they live amongst us...be careful.
