Sinking sands of India

We are caught in a typical Indian quagmire of uncertainty and politics etc. and I will never ever invest in such a venture there again. The incredible retrospective tax case re Vodafone says it all. The fact that the Company did not respond to questions is a sign of arrogance or indifference or further bad news. I have lost 60% plus of my investment and simply cannot be bothered to sell now but have written off any likelyhood of recovery and only extreme optimists should invest now imho. Based on net assets this looks good value, but the market needs convincing they can make a decent margin on employing those assets. By gog gog

Gujarat

Hi all,
Alas, I think this drop may also relate to ongoing environmental disputes surrounding the development of the Gujarat plant (300MW). I have tried to seek some information from the company, but they have failed to respond to emails and a telephone call. Not impressed.
Hopefully it will all blow over, but the company's silence does not reassure me.
I am a holder and am continuing to hold with fingers crossed. By am207
