I assume you meant 3/4 of a MiLLION quid per month. Whether that is true, we shall see tomorrow. In 2011, operational expenses were running at about £1m per month but there has been some cost cutting and there may be more to come.

As for a formal complaint, you are unlikely to get anywhere. PDX will blame the last management, an unexpected change of mind by P&G, etc.

J O G

Much of what you have written seems very plausibIe, but it's all a guesswork until tomorrow's RNS isn't it?

I am thinking about logging a formal complaint with the FSA, but will wait and see what tomorrow
brings first.

However, correct me if I am wrong, but isn't PDX's cash burn rate running at something like 3/4 of a quid per month?
If so, that means they have between 6 and 9 months max, to really do something before the administrator is called in?

So at this juncture the best hope would be for slightly better revenue than YOU have forecast and a very public and brutal culling of staff and costs.

This investment has been a disaster, especially as at one point we were holding when the price high ticked at 732.5 in Dec 10

So at this point I am reluctant to let go, as the risk reward is -10p : whatever

I never made this personal SwissPaul... You're right to be p$ssed off and angry... but against me is displaced.... have a go at the BoD running PDX... I havent suddenly hopped on the band wagon.... I've been consistently posting here for years...
I stated ages ago that my reason for posting was to provide some sort of balance to the almost constant bullish stream.... I am not a millionaire! I got really badly 'burnt' just over a year ago by another AIM stock with 'transformational technology' which had gone thru several phases of tests.... everything was upbeat.... all the presentations, the press articles etc etc.... and then bang.... final tests failed and the price collapsed... so I know only too well how this feels... The question is how we can learn from this?? By Ralphie Cohen

Wait till tomorrow

I think that, based on what we know today, there is little to be gained from further analysis until we see the interim results tomorrow. However, it would be useful to set down what we might expect, based on what has been said to date. We can then compare actual outcomes with our expectations.

In December 2011, PDX forecast revenue for the year would be £22m, of which half would come from Industrial Licensing. With the loss of the P&G deal, Industrial Licensing is unlikely to bring in much at all. The big unknown is Tyco. You probably know my opinion of Tyco but it as at least possible that their half-hearted attempts to market AquaSonic over the last six (yes, SIX) years are beginning to bear fruit.

I do wonder whether it was the abysmal outcome of the exclusive deal with Tyco that made PDX reluctant to give P&G an exclusive licence without a very large (possibly too large) upfront payment. It will be interesting to see whether any more details of the P&G negotiations are given and how other prospects may be affected by P&G's rejection of the technology.

That leaves £11m to come from the other LoBs. As we do not know the phasing of that revenue, it is not possible to say how much should be in the interims but we might expect most to be in the second half, so what PDX say about prospects will be critical (as usual).

Ethanol was predicted to bring in $1.5m (nearly £1m) but that depends on finding a solution to measuring the cost savings and agreeing a rate per gallon with the customers. As I did not expect a solution till this month, little of that revenue would have been received by the end of March and so we can expect only a trivial amount in these results. The key will be confirmation that a solution has been found, that customers are lining up to sign agreements, how much revenue has been received since March, what backpayments are due for production prior to resolution, what revenue can be expected in the remainder of the year and what further installations are forecast.

Public Health & Safety was to contribute 10% of the forecast - £2,2m. My guess is that little of that will have been received in the first half, maybe £0.5m, so what is said about prospects for the second half and beyond will be critical.

The remainder of the £22m was to come from Brewing & Food - £8m. Since the head of Brewing & Food, HJ Kroner, has left, we might expect results to be less than expected. How much was recognised in the first half is a pure guess, say £1.5m.

So if PDX achieved revenue of £2m in the first half, it might be considered to have done not too badly.
