getting silly now - ok really really silly, but hasn't it been that case for a while? I thought (not something I do a great deal) that the USA ok for Bugoil would be an upward sp catalyst.

I have lost my total investment money on two (or so) investments as a primarily visionary investor - I just trust my instinct that PIM is not the third. Could I (we) be as wrong as a multinational company?

Suspect it's going to be very quiet without more news. Jessica the PR Lady didn't reply to my offer to (and suggestion that PIM) email the Chap who is commendably upset over other pesticides kiiling bees, to promote the effectiveness of Bugoil without the damage. Maybe a letter to John Brubaker is the next step...

I'm in a similar position. However, my mind is in a place that this share is recoverable and may take another 12mths to do such. It does drive me nuts in the meantime - I hate losing money!!

The current senior team that joined from syngenta could be one of two minds.
A) transform PIM into a world class business with world class products, some might argue they are 50% there
B) Get embedded into PIM, put some structure and process in place whilst sorting out the balance sheet and then put the business up for sale in a healthier more attractive position?

Surely we must also add in a time lag for the benefits that bug oil will bring? By elly1970

Syngenta (from ADVFN board)

from killik .............syngenta is a major partner with PIM and PIM board members are mostly ex-Syngenta...

Syngenta (SYNN-SWX, CHF315, Buy) reported is Q1 2012 sales performance today. Overall sales were up 9% at constant currencies, driven by 5% volume growth and 4% price increases. Reported sales were 7% higher at $4.3 billion.

Syngenta is one of the world’s leading agribusiness companies, using biotechnology and genomic research to increase crop productivity. Syngenta employs over 25,900 people in over 90 countries, and was formed by the merger of the Novartis crop protection and seeds business with the AstraZeneca agrochemicals business. The global agribusiness market has estimated revenues of $71bn, comprising crop protection chemicals ($38bn), seeds ($27bn) and professional products, which are non-agricultural crop protection chemicals ($6bn). Syngenta has two main product lines, Crop Protection and Seeds.

Regionally, the best performer was Europe, Africa and the Middle East, with sales up 14%, driven by strong performance in France and Eastern Europe, where sales were up over 25%. In North America sales were up 13%, driven by strong demand for Syngenta’s enhanced corn seed portfolio. Latin America sales were down 3%, due to the impact of the drought in Argentina and southern Brazil, partially offset by strong growth in seeds, up 44%, reflecting and market share gains in both corn and soybean. Asia Pacific sales were up 2%, with a poor performance in crop protection, due to weather conditions, offset by strong growth in seed sales, up 38%.

Syngenta is the global market leader in crop protection and has the strongest market position in emerging markets. With its significant R&D spend, it has a strong pipeline of new products with sales potential of $17bn. The capital structure is strong, offering financial flexibility, high cashflow and returns on invested capital of over 20%. Syngenta is trading on 14.4x 2012 consensus earnings and 12.9x 2013 consensus earnings. With strong exposure to the theme of growing food needs and a larger emerging markets middle class, Syngenta is a Buy. By Bavaria Bound

Once we even get near

my breakeven (if indeed we get there) then I will consider PIM's position and consider selling at a loss. My sp loss is currently too much to sell considering the potential...but how long have we been saying that about potential. A little bit longer me thinks - see how it pans out - again how long have I been saying that. Surely the next 8 mths with USA Bugoil approval should provide a fiscal foundation for the company with the milestone payment(s). I hoped so much for this company and am annoyed with myself I mistimed it so badly. Still theres time before the bell tolls.

I still, when I read the profile of the company, cannot believe the market cap / number of shares in issue with the products at our global disposal. I wonder if a management buyouts an option at the current sp (in conjunction with our 10% owners)?
