Re: No growth in 2012

Interesting to note that within days of Lupo's post, Hempleman Adams spent £100k buying back into XPP. Peters also spent £143k (OK, that's peanuts for him) adding a further 14k shares to his already substantial holding.

The shares are now c.£1 (10%) higher than the prices these two paid. Despite a degree of caution, I really can't see these as 'cosmetic' purchases. There must be a value angle at the 950p-1100p price range.

For me, this share is a 'Buy on price weakness' - below 1000 if it gets there - and strong Hold if not. By midcapper

Re: No growth in 2012

Not a shock BB. This has been on the cards since last summer. The signs have been there for all to see, sorry to say m8.

Very much a hold, at best, with the Directors having to hang onto their remaining shares until late June. I suppose that the divi's relatively safe with the Directors holding so many shares.

The 11% reduction in Revenue is concerning, as one of the positives used to be that they were gaining market share. Well, as I posted before, the competition is not going to sit idly by.

I'm staying out. Plenty of other opportunities out there. By Lupo di mare

Struggling to know what to make of that announcement. Almost reads as a profit warning in places but probably well flagged and the market seems relatively positive after the wobbles of the last couple of days.
Rated as a growth stock so can't be cheap at these levels and theerfoe no better than a hold. By oggs

No growth in 2012

Rather a shock to hear that XPP revenues will be flat in 2012. Only really positive point was further growth in own-brand product, which will increase the margin.

Still a hold in my view at a SP of around £10, as the dividend is over 4%, and plenty of room to grow with cover well over 2x. By Brown Bull

Re: Al Gore

What is interesting is that a tiddler like XPP is on the buy list of a US institutional
investor, who needs to take a 5% stake to make the investment meaningful. Also interesting
is that Al Gore's "Generation Investment Management LLP is dedicated to long-term investing" and sustainable capitalism. Suggests that it is in for the long haul and may add further to its position. Clearly XPP has arrived on the global map!
