PARIS (AFX) - The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co's space division is to cut a further 962 jobs in Europe by the end of 2005, according to a report in Les Echos.
Without citing sources, the newspaper said details of the next phase in the unit's restructuring were presented to works representatives in the last two days.
The latest job cuts are in addition to 2,300 proposed in two previously announced rounds of job losses, also scheduled for completion by the end of 2005.
Including the latest figures, total job cuts represent 25 pct of the EADS' unit's workforce, Les Echos said.
