Fund to watch: JPMorgan Emerging Markets

Industry veteran Austin Forey has managed the JPMorgan Emerging Markets fund since launch and has consistently delivered strong returns.

The aim of the fund, is to provide long-term capital growth by investing primarily in equity and equity-linked securities of emerging markets companies.

The largest sector weighting in the fund is financials (26.5%), followed by consumer staples (18.3%), information technology (17.9%) and consumer discretionary (11.0%).

The fund is also well geographically diversified with India and China having the lion's share of exposure (16.7% each), South Africa with 14.7% and Brazil with 11.2%.

Other areas of the world, each of which account for less than 10% of assets under management, include South Korea, Peru, Thailand, Colombia and Indonesia.

Its list of top holdings, meanwhile, includes high-profile names such as Samsung Electronics, Taiwan Semiconductor and Hyundai Motor.
