You know sometimes the Market really does get it badly wrong.

Barclays has underperformed the financial sector over the last two weeks significantly. A real mystery to me is how the market values the dog of all dogs Lloyds at over £12 billion more than Barclays.

Given the two very different performances of the two banks over the credit crisis you'd have thought barclays would have been valued infinitely more than the superdog LBG.

For me this is an extreme example of the power of ignorance of PIs with no understanding of markets whatsoever bidding a share up to levels that defy comprehension.

When I make a decision to invest Danpoe its based on many hours of research. although I'm beginning to get a feel for posters whose research I trust and it seems to be serving me well.

In that respect I don't pay much attention to derampers or negative posters.

I prefer to be focused on the plethora of great opportunities to invest in at the moment, sxx, pele, rrl, blnx, rkh to name but a few, to waste any energy on the glass half full merchants.

Need 40 winks now though till the opening bell,

I'm sure I am amongst many who held this share when Bush slapped his ludicrous legislation on the back of an anti laundering bill in 2006. I saw the shareprice drop 60% overnight..no warning. No stop loss in place either:-(

With the Bwin merger and possibility of certain US states opening up to online gambling again, would I be overenthusiastic about seeing about £7-£8 by the end of 2011.

I prob wouldnt sell if I did hit my ave buy price again as I believe the future of this industry and in particular PG is immense.

Your thoughts on that please

Iraq oil business can learn lessons from others in developing

While Iraq is still a difficult place to work, companies continue to persist in getting business there. On Tuesday, Halliburton announced it had been awarded a contract by Eni to provide a range of integrated energy services to help redevelop the Zubair field in southern Iraq.

No details about the value of the countract. Halliburton just said work for the “multi-million dollar contract” is underway. Halliburton is to carry out services such as perforating, acidizing and well-testing on 20 wells for Eni. Halliburton chief executive, Dave Lesar, explains in the news release why Halliburton is interested:

We are committed to providing Eni the critical services required to deliver on its goal of expanding production over the next several years. Halliburton has made a strategic investment in our Iraqi infrastructure, and the award of this contract, coupled with the recent letter of intent awarded by Shell and its partners, demonstrates that we have the technology and people in place to deliver in Iraq.

Despite the difficulties of working around the world to develop oil and gas resources, companies are only too willing to do it - as long as they don’t feel cheated.

Misinvested in your de-ramp you claim Enegi/ Dlmc..are skint.

Right..you know A Minty personally then.so he told you this.

I would have thought if that was the case..Enegi would have a share placing from shareholders to fund any farm out's.

As they didnt need to do this but increased dlmc'c %..it shows the company are not in financial trouble..

Even if crop prices go through the roof on world markets it appears that the Ukraine government won't allow it's farmers to participate, bodes very badly for LK's near future.

Traders: Ukraine blocks nearly all grain exports
Aug 31 at 21:44 | Reuters Ukraine's Customs Service has almost completely stopped grain exports and has strengthened its recently imposed additional grain quality checks, traders said on Tuesday.

"The situation has become even more difficult. Last week we were able to ship some grain, but this week all shipments are blocked in ports by customs," one Ukrainian trader told Reuters.

He said his company could not get any explanation from customs officials.

"We shipped one vessel last week after a serious delay, but nothing so far this week," another trader said.

The head office of Ukraine's Customs Service said, however, there were no new orders and that the latest obstacles could be a "local initiative".

"We have not issued any new orders," customs spokeswoman Svetlana Sudak said.

The wheat harvest in Ukraine could fall to about 17 million tonnes in 2010 from 20.9 million in 2009 after severe frosts in winter and a prolonged heat wave in July and August.

Last week the deputy head of Ukraine's customs service, Serhiy Semka, told Reuters the service would keep up quality checks on all Ukrainian wheat export shipments, in spite of unhappiness among traders, and might extend them to other cereals.

But Semka said the checks should not take more than five days and that customs would not create any artificial bans on exports.

Ukraine Farm Minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said on Tuesday his ministry was not in charge of export shipments, but supported free grain exports from the country.

"If a vessel cannot be sent, it means that the customs have some questions. In this case the customs must check the issue," he told reporters.

Ukraine's grain traders association UZA urged the government on Tuesday to clarify the exports regime.

"If the government has decided not to introduce restrictions, we urge it to remove all artificial barriers to grain traders' work," it said in a statement. The government earlier this month proposed limiting exports of wheat and barley to 2.5 million tonnes between September and December but has put off the final decision until October.
