Yes, forex/brexit need to be considered. Yes, the US is more frothy and yes, it's dumb comparison. But, i'd suggest if things are in growth mode for a year or so from here which I think they are, she has a long, long way to go up before she's anyway near to 1987 style top.
Still holding comfortably long across the board at the moment.
Thanks a lot James, closed my short at 7473 ish just for about 7 points.
Looking to go long soon.
Currently I have one position in Dow, long at 24644 ,this one might be a little expensive for me but lets see.
No offense taken, just responding to your comment that it could go down a lot, and you are right, it could.
7480 is resistance and holding for now. I like to buy resistance and add if it fails. My strategy is to split my trade into 5 and add depending on what happens. I am usually wrong with the first one or two, but not always.
Averaging in also removes the fear of the market going against me as it means I can add more cheaply.

Well. Chart. I last posted on 30th Nov based on the goldmans note to take money off the table. I predicted another 1000 points and we are at 640 ish points. So another 360 to go ? Easily doable by 31st
Not even losing a republican seat can stall this monster
Lol! Piggy it was a good decision to come out with that profit. I think market will be very volatile around the Rate decision time.
I have gone one more long when it pulled back to 24600 but have moved my stop to break even.
" CARD FACTORY - again (LSE:CARD) When we gave this as one of our ISA shares for 2017 (link here) the share price has performed in a fashion which makes the UK Brexit bloke seem sensible. It went up, it met our targets, it collapsed. But ..."
You are welcome. I know its so difficult to divert from the set plan.
Tomorrow is interest rate decision though but its at 7pm UK time so probably enough time.
I would still be alert and keep my positions small.
I was slightly late to catch the dip but cought at 24528. Just one small position, if it goes 30 pts up I may keep it overnight with stop at breakeven. Otherwise will close it before the close of the day.
