Professor Dame Sandra Dawson appointed to DRS board DRS Data & Research Services plc, the parent company of the DRS Group, is delighted to announce that it has appointed Professor Dame Sandra Dawson DBE to its board as a non-executive director with effect from 1February 2012. In addition, she will succeed Ann Limb as Chair of the Remuneration Committee when she retires from the board of directors immediately after the next Annual General Meeting, expected to be in May 2012. Dame Sandra is one of the Deputy Vice-Chancellors of the University of Cambridge and KPMG Professor of Management Studies at the Judge Business School, Cambridge. She is a Non-Executive Director of the Financial Services Authority and Oxfam. She is a member of the Prime Minister's Council for Science and Technology and of the UK India Round Table. Her non-executive roles have included Barclays plc, Barclays Bank plc and Fleming Claverhouse Investment Trust plc (which became JP Morgan Fleming Claverhouse Investment Trust plc during her term of office). In 2004 she was made Dame Commander of the British Empire for her contributions to higher education and management research, and in 2006 she was inducted into the International Women's Forum (IWF) Hall of Fame. Pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules it is confirmed that from 2003-2009 Dame Sandra Dawson was appointed as a non-executive director of Barclays Plc. Her appointment as a non-executive director of Fleming Claverhouse Investment Trust plc (which became JP Morgan Fleming Claverhouse Investment Trust plc) ended in 2007. There are no further details that are required to be disclosed under paragraphs 2-6 of 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules. The shares were acquired through a Share Incentive Plan which has been approved by the Inland Revenue and is open to all the Company's employees. In addition, he will succeed Ann Limb as Chair of the Ethics Committee when she retires from the board of directors immediately after the next Annual General Meeting, expected to be in May 2012. John has thirty years' experience delivering technologies and services worldwide. He served five years at Yahoo as Senior Vice President of International Engineering and eleven years as a senior manager in international operations at Microsoft. He has been in his current role at the BBC since 2009.
