WILSON SONS LIMITED (Bovespa: WSON11) announces that, on December 17th, 2009, the Company's request for priority status has been approved by the Board of Directors' Council at the "FMM" ("Marine Merchant Fund"). 	Quiet board! As I understand it following a brief look, this loan is approx x2 Wilsons Sons market cap. (as you know OCN mostly hold this company). That's quite a risk given the possible global recession, the tanking bovespa, the rising $ vs real. 94% of Wilsons Sons loans are $ denominated - the classic EM crunch scenario:- declining revenues, foreigners pulling money they need and loan principle increasing on FEX losses. I can only presume they know what they are doing! 	I was wondering if the recent share price collapse is a case of market maker caution or whether there is real problem at the company. This company is difficult to follow as there is relatively little information or analyst coverage, but the company is expanding quite rapidly (see today's press release about a loan) at a time when there are major concerns over global growth so perhaps the market makers have decided to play safe by reducing the share price just in case there is a problem. I note that Giles Hargreave, one of the most accomplished UK fund managers, who runs Marlborough Special Situations Unit Trust, has a sizeable holding in Ocean Wilsons (at least he did in September) so I shall be interested to see if he is maintaining it.
