Thank you for erudite response. I actually made another sizeable purchase this morning.
I shall now sit back and enjoy the rest of the summer. As and when I see anything in relation to FJET that I feel I of interest (good or bad) then I shall share it with this board.
Steve Gurr, it is nice to see the opposite opinion, it makes for stimulating conversations.
Thanks for your comprehensive response to mine, early yesterday morning.
I am not that familiar with the ADV** board but learned a few years ago that it was probably superior to most and very popular.
While I have maintained my slavish optimism and faith in the company, I agree with your comments that there is much real foundation to your observations on fastjets new teams abilities, credibility and strategic plans for the near future, reflected in your own outlook. Hopefully, we shall never reach those depths of nadir again.
As someone persistently invested for over four years now, I am often a tad envious of new investors coming in at such a time when the SP is so low. As you recognise, an exciting opportunity and every good reason now to see the companys potential really taking shape this autumn and onwards.
May your investment, timing and patience be well-rewarded sooner rather than later. For me, and as tempting as it is now, Ive topped up often enough!
Give them some credit, to collect this gong and have it awarded at the prestigious Paris Air Show and especially after the tumultuous year they have endured is good going in my book.
However that was not the message that caught my attention. Read it again if you missed it.
I have upped this to a strong buy and I just don't talk the talk!
Is best low cost African airline equivalent to me winning an award for best person currently sat in my chair? In any event the standard of the service , though not immaterial, is secondary for an investor to the prospects of a commercially successful business.
Thank you for your welcome and potted history of activity. I am a regular contributor to iii boards and as I have recently been adding FJET shares to my portfolio I chose to add the latest snippet.of news.
I am not familiar with LSE boards and normally can be found on ADV** were I am more active.
My views on FJET are that we have hot the nadir and that we have finally managed to secure a management team with industry credibility and ability.
The strategy is crystal clear and it is one that has been tried and tested by businesses of all shapes and sizes. In very broad terms it looks like this to me
Establish the facts of just how bad a shape we are in.
Make a plan for recovery
Sell the plan to would be investors and potential key employees
implement a stabilisation programme
Start to grow again
My take is that this is once again an exciting opportunity for investors and the potential will be manifested this autumn...............hopefully.
I do not know too much about the history or even care about it. I have invested on the information that I have seen and believe.
Once again that key investment ingredient...patience is required!
Interested to see your post on this Board though its not necessarily an indicator of your level of interest in exchanging views.
As you might discern from the preceding posts, this Board has become a derelict wasteland, the whole page going right back to March 2016 and just 4 posts this year. Its no coincidence that its thanks entirely to the stream of negative and often abusive posts from the last two shown in March.
Along with most others here, they migrated to the very active board run by London South East where they continued their quest to demoralise all investors by general rubbishing this company until they were both banned for life for breaking the Boards rules one of them four times in fact under four different incarnations!
I only tell you this in case you had hoped to find an active discussion here on Interactive Investors fastjet Board. Im sure you would be most welcome on the LSE equivalent where you will find a usually very active and friendly group (although the news from fastjet has been somewhat thin on the ground of late, thereby reducing the current level of contributions.)
This is the type of newsflow to take notice of in my opinion........dyor

Fastjet has been awarded the 'Best African Low-Cost Airline' title at the World Airline Awards, presented by Skytrax, at the Paris Air Show in France.
Fastjet takes 'Best African Low-Cost Airline' titleThis is the airlines first World Airline Award and is based on votes from customers making use of an airlines services.
The award is a welcome accolade and suggests that Fastjet is on the right trajectory, says head of the airline, Nico Bezuidenhout.
This recognition comes as the stabilisation plan concludes and our focus broadens beyond commercial stability to positive movement in terms of network, distribution and fleet. He adds that Fastjets plans to assume the role of Africas first pan-continental low-cost airline are well underway.
Says Bezuidenhout: Above all else, I would like to acknowledge our people, the Fastjet team, whose efforts have embraced our culture and mantra and have expressed it through creating a positive customer experience. The award belongs to everyone at Fastjet whose hard work has made it possible.
