Just spotted a trade for 1m shares go through! It is shown as a "buy". That should make a huge hole in the "seller's" stache of shares. I also noted a large trade last night as well - again at a good price. Higher turnover smacks of more scope for volatility and scope for further rises?
Re price of gold - I am quite happy for it to stay where it is (about $1270oz) without more threats from Trump and Co. The profit margin is huge as it is. I am not trading in gold, but in a mining company - there are other avenues to get greater exposure to gold itself. I discussed this point at the last AGM and it was remarked that one CE of another company had done some currency trading and made lots of money. Apparently he thought that his shareholders would be pleased - but quite the converse - the deals could have gone badly wrong - he was supposed to be running a business - not gambling on the currency markets.
