I have found TD to be pretty efficient with dividend handling and iii sometimes quite slow to credit them to my account.

One of the concerns that I have is that I have £75k of bank deposit protection with each of TD and iii and I expect that if my TD holdings are transferred to iii my protected amount will then be just £75K, effectively halving my protection.

From memory, I think that the Hargreaves Lansdowne scheme is hosted by iii and so that is not really an option for me to preserve my protection.

Interested to hear of any recommendations for non-iii investment services.
