I was told that they would have to get a move on as it will be to hot to do any drilling soon, so they were going to crack on and get it done asap.

If there's a delay now, that would put the mockers on it til later in the year. Be nice to know what's going on, it is our company after all !

Another re hash of what we know already, but hey. The fact so many are writing about it is significant though. See closing statement about taking a position and just being patient: Done that, still doing it. Just hope we have positioned in a winninv company.

What the hell, seeing as shareholders are getting sweey FA from Forte themselves as usual, I was also told that drilling would take no more then 5 weeks and that analysis would take place as they went along.

So, if drilling has started as stated ' mid May' then we should get some results towards the end of June.

Shame this company seemingly couldn't give a t*?@ about their shareholders and leave it entirely up to them to try to create interest and let them second guess what is going on with the company that they have invested thier money in and who's money is keeping these directors in a job.

Typical p!55 poor AIM outfit, huge potentential, hopeless management. Rant over.

Doesn't look like we're going to get confirmation that drilling has started, so I guess they will just update us with results as and when, hopefully in a few weeks time.

Allegedly, Hassi Baida was the area that Areva identified as being the most promising when they first surveyed the region in the early eighties, so fingers crossed, they were right.

Shame they can't turn them on as quick as they shut them all down. If they end up safer though it's better in the long term.

Shares in Tepco, operator of the tsunami-hit Fukushima nuclear power station, jumped 33pc after a pro-nuclear election win in Japan (EUREX: FMJP.EX - news) likely means any short-term plan to ditch atomic power will be shelved.

Tokyo Electric Power (Other OTC: TKECF.PK - news) (Tepco) increased 32.9pc to 202 yen by the close, Chubu Electric Power jumped 9.59pc to 1,188 yen and Kansai Electric was up 17.6pc at 920 yen.

The huge surge on the Tokyo Stock Exchange came after voters on Sunday dumped Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda and his Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ), giving the pro-business Liberal Democratic Party a landslide victory .

Anti-nuclear sentiment has run high in Japan after last year's Fukushima crisis, with opinion polls showing a majority of voters wanted to phase out nuclear power.

However, that failed to translate into wider support for the DPJ, which had pledged to work toward a zero-nuclear country, or a group of small anti-nuclear parties which had little impact at the polling booth.

Premier (BSE: PREMIER.BO - news) -in-waiting Shinzo Abe, the LDP's hawkish head, derided the zero-nuclear goal as unrealistic and "irresponsible" - and hinted at keeping atomic power.

The LDP has said it would decide on reactor restarts in three years and the nation's "best energy mix" within a decade.

Major business lobby Keidanren said in a statement Monday that it "welcomes the LDP's landslide victory".

Japan 's benchmark Nikkei 225 (Osaka: ^N225 - news) rose 1.62pc at the open on Monday but fell back to close up 0.9pc at 9828.88.

In earlier Tokyo forex trading, the dollar soared to 84.30 yen, up from 83.52 yen in New York (Frankfurt: A0DKRK - news) on Friday, and its strongest level against the Japanese currency in more than a year and a half.

Japanese exporters have also been suffering from a strong yen, which hit record levels around 75 against the dollar late last year and remains historically strong despite its recent weakening.

Mr Abe pledged to bolster Japan's defences in the face of a territorial spat with China while vowing to pressure the Bank of Japan (BoJ) into more aggressive policy easing measures in a bid to inject new life into the world's third-largest economy.

He wants the central bank to buy government bonds - effectively printing money - to generate inflation, in a bid to drag Japan out of the deflationary spiral that has haunted its economy for years.

Turmoil in the European market, an unsteady economic recovery in the US and a diplomatic row between Tokyo and Beijing over an East China Sea island chain, which sparked a consumer boycott of Japanese products, all weighed on the economy as it recovered from last year's quake-tsunami disaster.

Mr Abe also offered to boost spending on infrastructure at a time when much of the tsunami-wrecked northeast remains a shell of its former self.

Another factor affecting the supply side is the coming end of the Megatons to Megawatts program. Under this arrangement, the US and Russia agreed to convert high-enriched uranium from Russia's dismantled weapons arsenal into low-enriched uranium for use in power plants. This secondary source provides about 15% of the US's annual supply of uranium. However, the program will expire later this year and when it does, the production gap will widen. Guess what will happen to uranium prices. That's right: they'll skyrocket.

I guess they may be holding back on a full presentation until they have something to present....but a little update on progress, initial findings and a rough due date for results wouldn't hurt would it? Done so in the past.

Communication appears to have gone up the wazoo again ! Drilling supposed to start 'mid May', has it ? Both Aura and Berkeley have released presentations promoting their prospects lately, Forte have not bothered since the begining of 2012 !?

It's about time Forte pulled their finger out and showed it's shareholders some signs of life and that their shareholders faith in the company is not completely misplaced.

This company has such huge potential yet shows such a disappointing lack of 'get up and go' it's no wonder their appears to be so little interest in them at present.

Come on Forte FFS. be a bit proactive and give people a reason to invest and not just blend in with all the other AIM dross.

Forte Energy NL based in Australia in April 2012 released JORC-compliant inferred resource figures of 9000 tU at 0.020%U for its A238 uranium prospect in granites near Bir Moghrein in the north of the country near Western Sahara. There is a main zone of mineralisation over a strike length of 1.75km with mineralisation extending down to over 250m from surface with widths of over 60m within 50m of the surface. Forte also has 800 tU in the Bir En Nar deposit nearby. Areva holds 11.3% equity in Forte, and will join in any major development.

The complete mismatch between supply and demand tells us one thing: uranium prices have to go higher. Investors just need to be patient and position themselves for the upcoming rise.

Yes lots of ordinary trades going through, but supported by a strong order book today on level 2 which currently stands at 2.557m on the buy side against only 1.95m on the sell side. There are currently four orders waiting to be filled ahead of the market makers who underpin the book, so it is certainly looking promising.

This is what happened last time we had news, a 150%+ spike, from a similar level. With a potentially substantial increase in resources we could possibly go higher. Not long to find out.

Aura / Arevas initial four month agreement on an option in their Haggen project in Sweden is up in the next few weeks. Areva may decide not to take a stake in the licence, perhaps it may not be a viable prospect, who knows.

If they don't decide to participate, perhaps they will look to the possibility of developing Aura and Fortes finds close together in Mauritania, especially if Fortes current round of drilling comes up trumps and makes it an even more economically viable proposition ?

Big spread at moment 25% that is nuts waiting for entry point again this certainly moves very quick when it does (both directions) if volume comes with a spike it is going to flyi put weak buy because of volitility long term might be good if company servives to end point.recon to be taken out when u price rises 20% and trend looks good evrryone will be scrambling for resourse and fteis cheap as chips

Makes sound business sense to me. Satellite play shallow mines feeding a single processing plant. Halves that side of operating costs for both, making projects more economically attractive and possible.
If road infrastructure is necessary, build roads. Not many trees or houses in them way!
I'm sure the govt wouldn't mind someone building roads for them for people to get to their new jobs.
