PARIS, Aug 25 (Reuters) - EDF <EDF.PA> said on Monday that it had stopped its 900-megawatt nuclear reactor 2 at its Cruas nuclear plant on Aug. 15 for refuelling and works.

"The reactor 2 was halted for refuelling and the chemical cleaning of its steam generators," EDF said.

EDF has started a programme to clean all the steam generators of its 900-MW reactors after it found a fault on that series.

The Cruas plant is in southeast France and has four reactors.
