CNOOC says H1 net profit up 89 pct

HONG KONG, Aug 27 (Reuters) - Chinese offshore oil producer CNOOC Ltd <0883.HK> posted an 89 percent rise in first-half earnings alongside sky-rocketing crude prices.

The smallest of China's energy triumvirate, which includes top Asian oil refiner Sinopec Corp <0386.HK> <SNP.N> <600028.SS> and top Asian producer PetroChina <0857.HK> <PTR.N> <601857.SS>, said its first-half net profit came to 27.54 billion yuan ($4.02 billion) versus 14.55 billion yuan a year earlier.

That beat a consensus forecast of 22.9 billion yuan from eight analysts polled by Reuters Estimates.
