Re: Competition

Agree Dubuary-I think they are as frustrated as we are with progress-especially with the Fortune 150.But as you correctly point out, they do need to show some demonstrable progress soon,or they will be left in the credit crunch induced morass of AIM "wannabes/hasbeens".I still hold the shares, but am increasingly fed up.
Re: Competition

Just as a follow up to that, I think that AIM shares at the moment are under pressure simply because there is little appetite for risk. But I also think that developing competition means that Byotrol is going to have to show sustainable revenue growth for the share price to move.

On that note, Gary Millars comment on the last trading update shows Byotrol have a full understanding of their challenges and goals:

From trading update 12 April 2012

"Byotrol's new commercial strategy is already generating more repeatable, sustainable revenues with key strategic partners. The trading performance and tight cost control shows that the Company is moving in the right direction, and we look forward to further progress in the coming financial year." By Dubuary

Competition

Just to show how competitive the industry is I see another company Gama Healthcare are making similar claims to byotrol. Their wipes are described:

Note the "72 hour residual activity"

http://www.gamahealthcare.com/products-universal-wipes-info.asp

I have not been able to find gama's patent so I cannot compare it to Byotrols. But Byotrol's patented technology is very flexible and gives them a large range of existing and potential products so I think has the edge. But it does sem to inducate tat the "residual" effect is probably not the issue with NHS.

I remain confident that Byotrol will come good despite the competition - but not many technologies remain "unique" forever. By Dubuary

Re: The future is here

The facts seem to indicate a good future for this comapny - despite the competition. It was encouraging when Ruffer increased their hoding. But I notice, now not a single director holds over 3 %. and on last placing I think directors contributed modest amounts. I would be more encouraged if a few director buys took place.

This bit, in particular:

"So far, Vashishtha has prevented more NDM-1 deaths. He fumigates his wards every four weeks and applies fresh paint every three months. He keeps hand-sanitizing liquid in his office, along the corridors and next to every bed in intensive care. Nurses must wash their hands with running water and soap and scrub with an antimicrobial sanitizer before handling patients.
“The first and foremost step to avoiding hospital-acquired infection is to wash hands properly,” he says.

The future is here

This article about the trend of ever virulent anti-biotic resistant bacteria is very worrying stuff indeed.

No-one would suggest Byotrol is a panacea - but surely its surface-treating technology has to become mainstream at some stage as an important part of the fight against the evolving new bugs?

Interesting article anyway.

Dubuary-we certainly needed an encouraging RNS.I particularly like the comment on the cash position as hopefully this means they will not have to return to shareholders before breakeven.I keep feeling that we are just around the corner with this Company, perhaps this time we really are.Like you looking forward to seeing us move above 20p.
encouraging RNS

An encouraging trading update from Byotrol. I will really be a lot more comfy when this undervalued share passes 20 and starts to reflect the potential of the technology. Vey strong buy at these prices. Hope you won't have to wait 2 years Makubwa. And very well spotted ss; you were obviously spot on... By Dubuary

Re: Volume

I hope you are right on this.Having held the stock for 5 years and added recently at 9p,I am getting towards the end of my teather.Agree with this sort of volume we should see an RNS,hope it is a decent new institutional buyer and not an institutional seller.I still think either Rentokil or the Fortune 150 might buy them, but difficult to know what this is really worth now.I will hang on for 2 more years and then sell if we are no clearer on where the Company is going.
Please keep posting guys there are few of us on this Board and what is put up is generally pretty sensible. By Makubwa

Volume

Hi guys.
Looking at the weekly chart, i can see what looks like huge buying by the pros. This is massive volume to the downside with narrow spreads with the price closing in the middle or highs. This usually means that the big boys are happy to cap the market at the current price and are willing to absorb any supply. We could still get one last shake out into fresh new ground so if you can buy any during that time then great. I've been out of this stock for a very long time and it now looks interesting again.
It's also on a decent level of support it will make for a good risk/reward trade.
Judging by the huge volume, im guessing an RNS might be issued soon. It wil be interesting to see.
Strong buy if you ask me.

Re: Lost confidence

Just over a year ago I aksed a local pet shop to stock the Byofresh products. They ordered some and stocked them. QWent in to day to buy more but they don't have them on display. I can't say how representative that is. But the product does not stand out from the competitive crowd and makes little capital on the label of the a new and effective technology.

Byofresh was started by Paul Foden using Byotrol as a basis for Byofresh pet products. Byofresh was bought by Byotrol back in 2010 when David McRobbie was CEO.I think there was a share issue raised for the purchase and a lump sum was paid with bonuses payable to Mr. Foden based upon sales over the next three years.

Guess Byotrol are concentrating on their core business first and leaving Byofresh sales to Mr Foden - for the time being. By Dubuary
