Nickname - thanks for that - so Kostianur is expecting €4.68million, or £3.83million, or 0.3p/ share. We shall see. 'A number of conditional cash bids' That's another great Lennie 'Jam Tomorrow' statement with a no questions get out clause. 'Well we did say the offers were conditional didn't we? LOL

Agreed Mez2, but the thing is - Lenni & Crew want the cash from this sale more than we do - after all, they are the ones who will use most of it to buy stuff for themselves, no illusions here!

However, to make an announcement like this completely unsubstantiated - no point whatsoever, and spivs they may be, but deff not dumb - im sure they realise a complete reversal from this point would kill the sp, and they dont want this do they? I believe they will sell Ayuo eventually, but for how much - this is the question. I am sure however, that it would need to be in excess of 100% of what they paid for it to impress the market. Anything below that, with all the talk of "very significant premium" would do the opposite of impressing the market. By kostiankur

Re: Long at 1,1p

The 0.3 p per share is only taking into account the monetary value of the Ayoluengo field, I would like to add the EOR potential of the Ayolouenga field ( valued at 1,9p per share ) and additional additional exploration acreage adjacent to the Ayoluengo field ( valued at 0,10p per share )

My investment in this cy at 1,1 p is based on the assumption that they will get a 50% of this valuation, in casu equal to their their current market cap,

I agree that this cy has dissapointed investors in the past, maybe they will suprise you in the coming days.
A number of conditional cash bids to buy the assets have been received at a very significant premium to the original €2.6 million paid for these assets.

Long at 1,1p

I try to ascribe a value to the Spanish assets , I believe sale will generate cash between 5 million US$ and 50 million US$ ( value per share between 0,25p and 2,5p per share ) , I believe they will also sell their 10% of Malta block 4 ( value of 5 million US$ = 0,25p ) , I think that this company's cash will soon exceed its market cap.
RNS says..

RNS Number : 4631C
Leni Gas & Oil PLC
02 May 2012

For Immediate Release, 7 am

2 May 2012

LENI GAS AND OIL PLC

("LGO" or the "Company")

Update, Spanish Divestment and Trinidad

LGO today confirmed that it had granted the preferred bidder for its Spanish assets exclusivity until 31st May 2012 to complete definitive documentation.

Further to its previous announcement on the 22nd March; due diligence is now well advanced and the parties have had preliminary discussions on the structure of the deal, details of which are expected to be concluded in the coming week. Final agreement is expected to be concluded in May, although this cannot be guaranteed.

A further announcement will be made once a legally binding agreement has been signed between the parties.

The Company also reports that final arrangements for the farm-in to the Advance Oil Company Ltd leases in the Moruga North area of Trinidad, previously announced in August 2011, are now being concluded and the Company expects to commence field operations by July 2012. Initial operations to be conducted by LGO include the recompletion of two productive wells, MN-44 and MN-209, and the drilling of one new well.

Neil Ritson, Chief Executive commented:

"Following the Board's decision to divest the Spanish assets to the highest bidder we have now reached a point where we are more confident that a sale can be concluded on mutually advantageous terms and have therefore granted the bidder exclusivity in return for a cash deposit. We are optimistic about the successful conclusion of the divestment process and we look forward to being able to start reinvestment into our various new ventures in Trinidad."
