Target price 14.5p

Landore Resources firmed 0.63p to 7.75p after announcing a positive drilling report from the first batch of 42 holes on the 2012 drilling programme on its flagship Junior Lake nickel asset in Canada.

Broker Optivas Securities says the company is now on track to upgrading its nickel equivalent resource later this year and move nearer the resource threshold required to make the project economically viable. Its target price is 14.5p.

Re: First Nickel

I cannot comment on the technical detail as expertly as can John and the Captain, but I agree that we small shareholders do need some concentration and commitment from the management team. After some almost ten years of building a stake in this share much of my holding is floundering at half what was paid for it. I have great confidence in the team, but confess that if the shares in my portfolio were to get back to breakeven I'd be sorely tempted to shove off. Probably to Patagonia!

Re: First Nickel

We need them to commit to that Pre-Feasibility date JS. It's been talked about for such a long time now and they often chuck out dates like that in RNS's that eventually come to nothing.

As much as I'd like to see drilling results for Miminska (gold), Root Lake (lithium), Lessard (copper/zinc) and even Summit Lake (iron) the main focus should be the nickel imo. Lamuane Iron took too much resource away from proving up the nickel prospect and the distraction of another decent find elsewhere would, although nice to have, be frustrating.

Agreed CP
Patients has been rewarded, we appear to be moving forward at pace ("Pre-feasibility studies on the combined B4-7 and the VW deposits will be initiated in Q4 2012.")
As you say no mention of B4-8 yet the drilling results reported earlier were excellent.
Both B4-7 and VW have 43/101 status so next step is Pre Feasibility.

That was my reaction also John. The grades may be low but surely it's better than sinking mine shafts left right and centre. Maybe they're afraid of the light lol.

Nice to see the bonus of good Palladium/Platinium grades in this morning's RNS.

I do still wonder what's happening with the B4-8 deposit and whether they can tie it in with any plan to mine B4-7 given the proximity. By Captain Prozac

Re: First Nickel

Maybe now they'll get off the fence and make a long overdue decision on what they are going to do viz-a-viz the Option Agreement on West Graham?
-------------------------------------------------------
I noticed this section in First Nickel's recently released stat accounts:-

"(a) West Graham Property
The Company has satisfied the option payments and exploration expenditures required to earn a 70% interest in the West Graham Property pursuant to the option agreement entered into between the Company and Landore Resources Canada Inc. (“Landore”) dated November 21, 2005. In the prior year, Landore has opted not to initiate a joint venture to the extent of its 30% working interest so the Company has the option to increase its interest to 85% by completing a bankable feasibility study by October 12, 2012. The Company has determined that there is no reasonable possibility of establishing an economical ore body on the West Graham Property. Consequentially, the property has been written down to the Company’s estimate of land value."
