Re: farewell avb123

Tell you what if Sterling hadn't strengthened against our "spending" currency we would be less sanguine about this !
If you get a chance over the next week or two try giving DS a call, he pointed out he himself did have skin in the game, and was equally out of pocket.
Got the impression that MH was there through KAH now, asked why MH hadn't got sense out of China
and the phone gave a shrug of the shoulders!
Did also give him a link to this page !! & showed him how the Russians have a ten million shareholding !
Human nature tells us that he will probably follow the link - he said he didn't look because he didn't want to read abuse !! So I said that's reserved for MH !
What do we do now? The only course of action is to hold, if it does drop it won't be great for us but
In the end were all grown up, the company know they need cash, the Copper gives us hope
8k tons can be delivered anywhere by truck it's not like were flogging coal !
The Zinc etc is near Walvis bay for shipping. At least last year costs were kept down.
Was wondering if going to the AGM was worthwhile, - could send Mrs FLU, that would sort them.
One other route for the company would be the Direct shipping ore that they have with Baobab that
for both companies could be a route to cash. It would need a low amount of upfront cash
and could be a runner.
For 2012 though we have sufficient in the bank to tide us over until a resource upgrade. DS positive
On copper as well as Namib, Think we all accept Uranium was hope over expectation now.

So we need exterior photos of the guest house, a bit of local colour and some menus showing foods
previously categorised " inedible" if were going for the large format coffee table Market we need photos, if however were going for the hot n steamy E reader crowd we need er hot & steamy lol.
Do you know your current Lats & Longs?
Title ? Blue eyes is back , Hot rubber, Going down, a traders tale of life in China
Up North river without a paddle.

Over & out

Contact.

We have just spoken to North River (UK ) 020 7930 6966 and David Steinepreis is there.
Had a twenty minute conversation with him. If more shareholders ring he will get the message presumably about the situation. Doesn't know why Mark Hohnen has no shares, it would seem
that Mr Hohnen is an astute business man who may be waiting for the right moment, he doesn't think that Mr Hohnen would want a small holding, he would buy a large holding or nothing he is on the Board because of Kalahari.
Why have the Chinese not made any comment?
North River is waiting for the Chinese to tell them their intentions.
What would he say to shareholders who are thinking of selling?
The Shareprice has fallen 60%, other explorers have lost value too obviously the uncertainty
isn't helping and he is trying to advance the Malachite resource and the Namib mine scoping study.
Can I have Mark Hohnens number
No.
If Mark Hohnen bought £50,000 worth of stock he would be seen to be supporting the Shareprice.
He thinks Mark Hohnen would rather get his hands on a large part of North river or nothing at all.
We spoke generally about the Market and outlook for our commodities, also asked about
why the CEO was not a Director
He replied that they have enough Directors.

FLU's thoughts on the call are this :
As we thought Mark Hohnen is the key, he is there for Kalahari/ Taurus. The AGM is at the end of June in London. My impression was that North river are kept in the dark, the Chinese group
are not ones for talking. At the AGM there "May" be a Chinese director, which would be good for the company, alternatively Mark Hohnen may buy what the Chinese put up for sale,
asked why we are paying Mr Hohnen 4k a month to attend board meetings?
He is there as part of Kalahari.
Pointed out that DS was getting 150k a year while he waited and us holders pay for the privilege .
......!
So it boils down to AGM, maybe the Chinese will appoint a director ( flu replied that shareholders would like that !!
So that would be positive.
It may be that there could be a Mark Hohnen old KAH team buyout.
Positive.
If it stays the same, who knows?

Give the man a call, he is polite and does not like seeing his shares drop either. However he is
the M.D. And works for us shareholders.

FLU. Who would like to post the whole conversation but is concerned about comeback !!

Well I sold up in a couple of chunks this morning, lost 1/2 my money, should have done it at 2p when I first started getting doubts. Maybe very silly thing to do but this feels like proper gambling at the moment. Also think if I really want to buy back in I will be able to around this price for a while.

The great leveler

Performance is the one single useful judge of a manager or a management team from which over a fair period a measure of effectiveness can be concluded.

A long line of shareholders have called for a drive for production to protect us in these volatile market times. He's still talking of buying more. Is he delusional.

Having said that the penny and maybe the ego have dropped and what he has set out seems a good plan.....can he perform. .

It has occurred to me that we are now wasting our time commenting we have said it all its down to them to deliver and hohnen to either buy some bloody shares at least they left his nil holding out of the finals.......or go and quickly giving another chap with some interest in more ways than one a crack at performing.

We the folk of this bb must now sit back and see what they come up with things just gotta changechange the performance is shockingly bad. ...Yes guys only the chinese can get us out of this corner these characters have got us in. ...Bring on a chinese director soon.

Till then my friends what can you say.....gawd is good. .And gawd is great some words that woke me in arabic in my youth. I was in a pioneer regiment french as it happens thinking of asking a few old hands to ask David for a job since hes taking on staff i think they would get on like a house on fire with him.
