I sold out of POLY in Jan at 1130p which in hindsight was the right thing to do. The mining and particularly precious metal ones have been very badly hit the last few months. I regret that I still think miners have more to fall before the bottom is reached though I'm holding onto other mining shares at the moment. This might explain why some reports say 3 crew left the ship and stayed at port. Maybe they thought she was overloaded and got off?

I know what you mean about soviet companies. As well as POG (sold) I have a couple of Russian oil companies PTR and EXI, both have been disasters. POLY though has longer history and seems to be doing well. Lets hope oligarchs here are more honest. Being fully listed regulations are tighter than AIM and as a FTSE 100 company their size reduces risks IMO.
