SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) -- November crude climbed as high as $53.25 a barrel in the last hour of trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It was last at $53.05, up 38 cents. Prices rallied on reports that oil tanker offloadings at the Louisiana Offshore Oil Port, the nation's largest crude-oil import terminal, were halted due to bad weather in the Gulf of Mexico.
